They're both so awesome (or they were in their debut tales). I think I'll go for Bane because he succeeded in beating Batman and was awesome in The Dark Knight Rises.

KGBeast. I could never seen Bane cutting off his own hand to evade the police or Batman.

It's tough but I think Bane would see the loss of his hand as worse than capture, which he would view as temporary. Why cut off your hand if you know you can escape intact later?
