I'm looking for Bare Trees and Mystery To Me. Can anyone tell me if there are decent sounding CDs, of these?

i think that each of them has only been released once domestically, can't speak for imports.

Love these two albums, it's criminal that they have not been remastered. I do a "Bare Trees" from Russia at all places. Probably a boot, don't know BUT it does sound better than my US. version. :-o

Thanks, Renny and Rick A. Have you heard of any Japan imports?

Your welcome RB59. No actually, if I found one inexpensive I roll the dice though. It's got to be sooner than later that we have a reissue campaign by somebody.

I think all the album pre-1975 were just issued there as SHM-CDs.

Yes, I have heard the SHM's. They're not bad. Bare Trees is even a DR12! Mystery is a DR10.

I'd love to see a good hi res release of Bare Trees.

This Amazon review details which of the Japanese SHMs are better than, which are worse than, and which are identical to the old American CDs:

I don't remember well at the moment, & I no longer have the USA cd's, but I do remember feeling that Bare Trees was enough of an upgrade that I could get rid of my USA cd. I also don't remember feeling blown away by them either; but I'm pretty sure Bare Trees had a bit more detail/less muffled sounding.

Unfortunately, i do have memory issues, unless something is really important to me, I don't have the best memory. I have the SHM's here, so those 2 DR ratings are correct.
