Mine is probably Fell, by Warren Ellis and Ben Templesmith. It is kind of a creepy noir detective series. There are overtones of the occult, but the reader is never told if magic is real or not. Also, I'm a sucker for a nine-panel grid.

Fatale by Brubaker and Philips.
Nothing else comes close for me, with the caveat that I've never read Astro City and the rest of my Image experiences consists three issues of Spawn and the first issue of Youngblood from the quarter bin.

Fatale's great. Spawn and Youngblood are not. Err, were not. I've only read a couple issues of Spawn and one issue of Youngblood. They might be good now for all I know.
I like Astro City a lot, but I like Fatale and Fell better.

Never read Fatale, and I haven't read an Image book in years, so I'll go with Astro City.

I've never heard of Fell, but the posted stuff looks great. Might have to check it out.

Dumped in this collapsing urban trashzone, Richard Fell is starting all over again. In a place where nothing seems to make any sense, Fell clings to the one thing he knows to be true: everybody's hiding something.

Astro City's been with DC for about ten years. Doesn't count anymore.

Savage Dragon.
The only time I remember Youngblood being good was when Alan Moore wrote it. (But I haven't read a ton of YB books either.)

I figure that if it was published by Image, it is fair game. As long as the issues you like were published there and not elsewhere.

Astro City would be close second. Saga is good but it's too young.

The Image issues are also the good ones. Quality went down after the DC/Wildstorm deal.

It never occurred to me, but looking at a list of publications, Image has published a ton of comics that I've liked/loved.
Astro City Bone (for a bit during its run)* Casanova Chew (I've only read the first collection, but I liked it) Fatale Fell Five Ghosts I Kill Giants Jink* Kabuki* Leave it to Chance The Maxx Morning Glories Popgun (I've got the first three collections, and while the quality varies, there's some really great stuff in them) Powers* Saga Shaman's Tears Stormwatch (Ellis' run) Tellos
That's a pretty solid library.
