Very nice!

Love this band and this looks like 1984 or so.

The US import is way too high but I need to know what the DVD will be in formatwise.

Pete, for what it's worth I own two Rockpalast DVDs (Joe Jackson & Rockpile) and both are NTSC & playable here in the US. I imagine it will be the same with this one. The set list looks great so I might have to get it if/when the price comes down a bit.

I saw them in 1983 at the old Foxboro, MA stadium with A Flock of Seagulls and the Police. I kind of lost touch with them over time, but the material from their first few albums was great.

According to Pete, many of their later albums are excellent and worth checking out. Like you, I lost touch with them a long time ago (right after Phantoms) but I still love those first three albums. I will check out some of the later material soon.

I'm with you Rich...I'm thinking that I should pull out some of the later stuff myself. (Just because I wasn't listening, that didn't mean that I wasn't buying...a true symptom of "Jimbo Disease".)

All the way to the new album Beautiful Friction from 2012, these guys are the real deal.

Not a bad album to be found and the 1982-91 era was full of moody, atmospheric material that bridged New Wave, Rock and Art Rock.

I always heard some Bowie, Roxy Music and Ultravox in their music.

Besides being all over MTV, they were one of the few New Wave acts to successfully cross over their sound to a Rock audience as they scored 14 radio hits including 3 #1's (Are We Ourselves?, Secret Separation and Driven Out), a #2 (One Thing Leads To Another) and a #3 (Deeper And Deeper).

Also had 10 hit singles.

Now that I've bored you with stats-find the albums! Many are OOP and command crazy $$$. Reach The Beach was the only remaster from Universal and has cool bonus tunes.

My fave Fixx tune is either "Secret Separation" or "Deeper And Deeper".

I will get this new live package,

For the curious 1999's Ultimate Collection is a fantastic comp.

It's good to know that most/all of their albums are worth getting. It sucks that several of them our OOP & very expensive. As I mentioned in an earlier discussion, I never got Shuttered Room on CD (I still have the LP) and I missed out on the various expanded reissues when they first came out. I'll look for others and hopefully I can find some reasonable prices. If not, I may have to seek out downloads until the inevitable "Complete Fixx Studio Albums" box set.
