I'm not familiar with Ted Leo, but I love Aimee Mann, so I'll probably get this. I like the snippets posted on Amazon...and it's a cute album cover!

They performed songs from this album when I saw them last year. Kind of an odd couple but I liked what I heard.

Amy's part of the concert was pretty low-key but fortunately Ted was a killer. I'd love to see him in concert with the Pharmacists.

Just got this message from the Aimee Mann mailing list: "Barnes & Noble is offering an EXCLUSIVE version of The Both CD that features 2 tracks not available anywhere else. This is a limited version and is available for pre-order at Barnes & Noble."

The extra tracks are acoustic versions of two tracks on the album, "No Sir" and "Milwaukee" and it's $11.99: http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/the-bot ... 8519003720

Somehow, I won't be surprised if there's a different Japanese bonus track or two... :sigh:

I have a B&N right near my office. What are the odds that (a) they'll carry this CD and (b) they'll sell it for the price listed on their website?

The last time I bought something in a B&N that had an exclusive track or two, it was a few bucks more than the website pre-order price, but then you have to figure in shipping unless you spend $25 or more.

Listened to the album a couple times now. I've liked everything from Ted Leo I've heard. Aimee Mann's more recent releases have been hit-and-miss for me. So in that respect I think this album benefits her the most. Love the Thin Lizzy cover which makes sense since Ted Leo's guitar playing style is influenced by Thin Lizzy.
