This was indeed a band. I have been listening since the first lp was released at a list price of $ 3.98. Great then = great now. The Lowell George years were pure magic.
One should also purchase the book Willin to go along with this - IMO the best book of 2013.

UI do like Feat a lot. Unless there's significant new masters or hi-rez; I'm pretty much good on Feat already. For someone like Pete who doesn't have the catalog, I'd say if it's reasonably priced it would be a no brainer.

I love this band and all I have is on vinyl or cassettes buried somewhere.
I was never happy with anything I heard on CD.
The 2000 box set sounds great so I hope this box utilizes that style of sound. Either way, I'm in for this box.
I think Jimbo is right-looks like gatefold replicas.

One of the best shows I ever saw was Little Feat touring in support of the "Waiting for Columbus" album. Even at the current price, that's a good deal on a per disc basis.
Whoa, it's now $61.31. Wasn't it about 80 bucks yesterday? I just ordered it.

I agree with PeterJ. For the price offered for this great band I'm in!

Who, me?
I've been thinking about adding to my Little Feat section lately, since I just have a smattering of CDs, so I'm in. Hoping for decent mastering on these.

Lucky Man! I never saw them live.
They were very popular in the DC area in the '70s and a chunk of "Waiting for Columbus" was recorded there. A lot of kids from this area went to Virginia Tech, where I went, so they sold out a 2,500 seat auditorium very quickly. When they walked out on stage, they got a huge response from us and I heard one of them say "Wow" when he walked past a mic. They fed off of that response and cooked for about two hours. It was great!
I saw them later on that tour at a different college in a larger auditorium and they were good, but they were a lot flatter. Sadly, a few months after that Lowell George died, also here in the DC area.

Found this tibit out:
Rad Gumbo The Complete Warner Bros. Years 1971-1990 will feature 11 studio albums including the two-CD expanded edition of Waiting For Columbus. The set is finished off with a bonus disc of outtakes and alternates originally included in the Rhino box Hotcakes & Outtakes.
This set will be packaged as a clamshell box with all the albums in card sleeves. Sailin’ Shoes, Waiting For Columbus and Hoy-Hoy! will be gatefold wallets.

I also saw them there as well as the Warner theater dates, but the best show ever was in either 72 or 73 (gettin' old and the memory is starting to fog a bit). The show was unusual in that there wasn't ever a 'break' between the artists sets.....The show started off with Arthur Crudup who brought out special guest Bonnie Raitt who did a song or two with him and then took over with her own set and later brought out her special gusts Little Feat, who did a song or two with Bonnie and then they took over with their own set and brought out special guests Paul Butterfields Better Days for a few tunes together, then Butterfield finished the show with their set, ending the night with everybody on the stage together....never seen anything like it....
All this at Georgetown University - McDonough arena.
I'm wondering if these new CDs will be as good as the Japanese remasters from several years back - those were well done - not sure if those need improving - they still sound good to me....

I have no Little Feat on CD so this sounds like an attractive purchase. However, I've gotten a bit leery lately of ordering from amazonUK for shipment to the US. Two CDs never arrived (they did send replacements which did eventually make it but took forever) and multiple DVDs were packaged very poorly--disc arrived in broken case & scratched all to hell. Very disappointing given my previous near perfect experience with AmazonUK. It's much cheaper than US in many cases--got great deal on last year's Clash box set and several other multi disc sets--but I may start ordering from amazon US & pay more rather than keep having to deal with delays & damaged merchandise. A real shame since I'm not made of moneybags.
