This will be getting a 2CD release in addition to the DVD that is another thread.

I couldn't find a US release, but I almost 100% sure there will be one.

Hopefully will be better than the Mercury 2 cd live set from the same period. Very surprised Knockin' At Your Back Door is not included.

That album you mention was Nobody's Perfect but that was from the House Of Blue Light tour 3 years later.

Not a very good live album I agree.

On my radar after the inevitable price drop.

OK, I got a promo of this today. US release, 2 CDs + DVD in standard jewel box sized package. I can't find a listing for this version on Amazon. Linda, can you have a look please? Thanks! :headbanger:

That does appear to be the one linked in the first post. Amazon says "3 discs" although they give the track listing only for the two audio discs. Looks like only these two versions are being released by Eagle domestically, the 2-CD/1-DVD set and the DVD by itself:

God I wish Amazon would release audio format/sampling rate/bit rate on videos. DVD9 can easily do 96/24 PCM 2.0 or 96/24 DTS 5.1

Got mine on Friday. I haven't listened to the cd's yet, but the DVD is on as I type (almost done). Blackmore is on fire in this video. Smiles between him and Gillan make it worth the purchase alone (back when they liked each other). :yay:

The video quality is what I expected from seeing a few previews. It's not great but it's not totally horrible either. Either way, it's good to see the tour that I saw in 1985 at Texxas Jam.

After another bad experience with sound quality on an Eagle release last night, I'm very curious if the sound is compressed/loud 9especially on the cd's).

You bought this also?

The sound wasn't as great as I thought it should (would be) on the DVD, but it's not too bad either. As for the discs, I'm going to listen to them later in the week. I got a few others that are begging my attention right now.

No, I bought a different Eagle release, the Counting Crows live blu ray. Eagle tends to brickwall almost everything they do.

I cancelled my order on principle when I found out that the Japan release has a bonus track on both the DVD and CD (Highway Star from the following night). I'll do without it altogether.

Hmmmm, puzzled about this. Checked both CD Japan and Amazon.jp. It came out there in September as a DVD with the double CD as the bonus and the total tracks is 30, fifteen on the DVD and 15 on the double CD, same as the US & Euro. Did a bing translation and it showed same tracks in same order (with "Difficult to Cure" amusingly translated to "Non-treatment" :D ) but there was no indication of any extra version of "Highway Star" on the CD or DVD. Where did you see this info?

I usually check info at CDJapan. They list the Japanese edition bonus track but no other details...there are a couple of the Japanese sets on Ebay at this very moment that have a very nice picture of the back of the package, listing the Japanese bonus track. The DVD is of course region 2. There is also a thread over at Steve Hoffman forums confirming the bonus track.

Thanks for the info. Man, do I hate the 'bonus track in Japan' thing more than ever. It would cost about $65 to $75 to get...one more version of "Highway Star?" Somehow I think I'll have to live without it...
