God I wish Amazon would list the freakin' audio bit rate of music BR's. IMO, the high res AUDIO is the ONLY reason to even consider these. I can get 16/48 Dolby 5.1 on the usually much cheaper dvd, if I actually wanted lossy 5.1 (I don't).

The Blu-ray + CD deluxe edition showed up a week early at 'Rama. Pricey little bugger, even for me. But of course that didn't stop me.

OMG, I'm two songs into the CD and it is fantastic! Full-on rock attack, none of those jazz arrangments. Can't wait to try out the video!

Sorry, that didn't come out like I meant it. Nothing against the jazz-age album, I liked it too, but this rocks like hell. Stunning guitar work.

Jimbo, is the packaging as nice as the description implies? Deluxe 72-page hardcover book?

No need to apologize; even if you didn't like it I don't take disagreements on music personally (at least usually ( :-) )!

Did you happen to notice the 2.0 audio bit rate on the blu-ray?

The book is set up like a deluxe concert program. Several pages of beautiful stage shots (w/ text), informative write-ups about each band member, and a whole section devoted to individual dissertations about each of Ferry's solo albums, up to and including The Jazz Age. Superbly done, classy package, all the way around.

Wish there was a CD-only option.
