Wow, I didn't know Steve's head turned into a giant ink well. Good for him.

I think I'm the only person who is a fan of Ditko's Shade the Changing Man. That was an incredibly strange and original series. As much as I have liked the Vertigo version of the character, I would really like to see the original return as a series. It and the Creeper are a lot more entertaining to me than Spider-Man.

Something like an Absolute edition would be outstanding.

The email subscription information lists Ditko Comics.Com in Edinburgh, United Kingdom.
Weird.

It's run by the person who does the Ditko Cultist blog. Most of the stock will be coming directly from Ditko's publisher Robin Snyder.

I've never read a Mr. A, but I'd buy it. In fact, that's what I'm waiting for.

Oh so it's going to be all amateurish, unprofessional and shoddy (not the art, the physical product)? Or is this a different publisher?

Ah, okay. I was hoping that Snyder would better automate his presence / use technology,
but if someone else does it for him, that'll be good, too.

I think that Hawk & Dove was one of his greatest and most under-appreciated creations. Part of me wishes that DC hadn't brought them back for that crappy mid-70's Titans book (and all of the crappy incarnations that followed). It was the perfect title for the late 1960's.

Snyder has been Ditko's primary publisher since the late 1980s:

The proposed reprint of Laszlo's Hammer has reached its Kickstarter funding goal, and WAN assumes that it will eventually be available at the Ditko Comics site.

From that Kickstarter page:

Quote:
Who is Laszlo and what is the significance of his hammer?

We published Laszlo's Hammer twenty years ago in the pages of our newsletter. (The original first page appears here in this preview.) That number has been long out of print. We revised the feature and corrected the spelling of Laszlo's name for a new presentation in Avenging World in 2002. The splash page was revised one more time for publication, along with the powerful page 2, in The Avenging Mind in 2008. Here again, after all these years, is a new publication of one of Ditko's most powerful, most important and unforgettable features, Laszlo's Hammer.

A hammer has a power available to all as a tool or a weapon. One man dramatically and publicly revealed what makes it creative, productive or destructive. See and read how anyone can be its victim or its abuser. See and read Laszlo's Hammer by Ditko coming next.

Laszlo's Hammer will appear as the lead feature in our next 8.5 x 11 book.

I may be prejudiced, but I don't trust people with the surname "Snyder".

The Ditko Cultist site has announced that The Four-Page Series #4 is now available. Since the Ditko Comics store isn't open for business yet, it will have to be ordered directly from Robin Snyder at the address in the excerpt below:

Like I said. Personal prejudice.

Seems a little racist.
