I'm frustrated. I just received my shipment of what was supposed to be all the Doobies mini lp replicas from Japan (from CDUniverse). All were correct EXCEPT that they sent the Rhino Replica of "Toulouse Street" - not the import. Sheeesh. This is annoying. I can't open it to listen for the mastering or they won't take it back. I wish I knew if it was the same mastering as the Japanese versions...

Anyone know?

I have it (The Rhino mini lp version) it's the only version of Toulouse Street that I have or have ever heard (cept for the hits on the radio). If there's a way I can check it for you I will, any suggestions? There's nothing on the credits, I could email you a 192kbps file of a song or when I get home tonite a lossless version.

BTW It's a great album, don't know how I missed it all these years.

I saw a copy of Yes's "Close To The Edge" mini-lp from Rhino Replica on the shelves of BestBuy yesterday. Strange to see this released when they have plenty copies of the previous "digi-pak" like remaster all over the shelves.

Whats the point of these releases? Purely packaging?

CDUniverse got back to me saying the ONLY version of "Toulouse Street" they now carry is the Rhino Replica. Sounds like a misinformed customer service rep, but I'm returning it for a refund. I already ordered the import from an Ebay seller.
