Mark Lindsay returns with a vengeance with “LIFE OUT LOUD” his first truly Rock & Roll record in over 10 years. In fact it is probably the best thing he has done since 1967. As the former lead singer of Paul Revere and The Raider we have not heard Mr. Lindsay rock like this since HUNGRY, GOOD THING, STEPPIN’ STONE, JUST LIKE ME, ect.

“LIFE OUT LOUD” is a collection of 14 songs co-written and co-produced by Mark and veteran songwriter/guitarist Gar Francis. Gar is a member of the New Jersey Garage Rock band The DOUGHBOYS who have received much attention from Steven Van Zandt’s Sirius Radio Show “LITTLE STEVEN’S UNDERGROUND GARAGE”. In fact Little Steven put his stamp of approval on “LIFE OUT LOUD” by singing and arranging the background vocals on the first single “LIKE NOTHING THAT YOU’VE SEEN” which was named “COOLEST SONG IN THE WORLD”

The basic tracks for “LIFE OUT LOUD” were recorded in two days by Kurt Reil at the House of Vibes studio in Highland Park, New Jersey and overdubs, mixing and mastering was completed in another five days. The idea was to record an album like they did in the 60’s, as live as possible with minimal overdubs and frills. The album features DOUGHBOYS, Mike Caruso on Bass, Richard X Heyman on Drums, Myke Scavone on Harmonica and Grip Weeds drummer Kurt Reil, along with Gar Francis on Guitar, Piano and Organ and even a ripping Sax solo by Mr. Lindsay himself.

Mark is currently on tour with the “HAPPY TOGETHER TOUR 2013” and the album can be purchased at any of the venues across the states as well as through BONGO BOY RECORDS, CDBABY, iTUNES and AMAZON.

Bongo Boy Records (http://www.bongoboyrecords.com/) and CDBaby (http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/marklindsay4) are selling the CD.

I bought it at the Happy Together show last night, and it is a CD......so buying through the above links is probably safe to assume you're not spending CD price for a CDr......or go to your local indy store.

I can attest that this is better than anything he's done in ages. I'm a huge Raiders fan, and Like Nothing That You've Seen is a FANTASTIC song. I'll be checking this out.

Seeing the Happy Together Tour tonight @ Westbury. Are they separate acts is is it like one big supergroup? I would imagine "Happy Together" is the final song.

Many years ago (1979 I think) I was in Las Vegas with my Dad. "Paul Revere & The Raiders" were playing & we went. Lindsay was in the audience (at least he was introduced by PR) & some kid was singing lead vocals. Pathetic. The show was mostly bad sex jokes.

Those are the shoes he was wearing at the concert, loud but fun. Mark is one lively guy who lives by the credo that "rock will keep you young". I'm a believer. :)
