Nice list by Cracked. Some of these are jokes, some of them simply cover up mistakes by the writers (e.g. Han Solo and parsecs), but a lot of these actually make sense.

25. SpongeBob is a tampon.
24. Alfred Pennyworth in Chris Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy is Bruce Wayne's real father.
23. The Simpsons live in an alternate universe where everyone relives the same year endlessly.
22. The castaways on Gilligan's Island represent the seven deadly sins.
21. Jon Snow is really Ned Stark's nephew and the son of Rhaegar Targaryen
20. Dekkard is not only secretly a replicant, but implanted with Gaff's memories.
19. The Joker (in Tim Burton's film) did not kill Bruce Wayne's parents, but rather Batman projects this idea on all his enemies.
18. The variable seasons in A Song of Ice and Fire are caused by a former second moon that legend said wandered too close to the sun and cracked.
17. Mario of the Mario Brothers is a Communist.
16. House is actually a grown-up Doogie Houser.
15. The world of Samurai Jack takes place in the same universe as The Powerpuff Girls but after an apocolypse.
14. Emmit Brown was trying to kill himself when he sent the DeLorean backwards in time on the first test in BTTF.
13. Jack Dawson in Titanic was a figment of Rose's imagination.
12. Hunger Games author Suzanne Collins created the names of "Peeta" and "Katniss" as a joke, expecting fans to combine them into "Pee-niss"
11. James Bond, like The Doctor, is actually a Time Lord.
10. The story in Disney Aladdin never took place in the movie universe---they were a tall tale invented by the merchant in the prologue to see a worthless oil lamp.
9. Pete and Trudy Campbell from Mad Men are the grandparents of Annie Edison in Community.
8. The West Wing is set in an alternate universe where Richard Nixon was impeached
7. The Hynotoad evolved from the bullfrog Bart Simpson brought to Aus--ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD!!!!!
6. The character Stan Lee plays in all of his cameo appearances in the live-action Marvel films is really Uatu the Watcher
5. In "The Rock", Sean Connery plays John Mason, a British operative convicted of espionage and imprisoned in Alcatraz in 1962. Mason's code name is "Bond."
4. The Jetsons and Flintsones actually take place in the same future universe but divided by income and class
3. Han Solo actually knew that "parsecs" (or "light seconds") is actually a unit of distance, not time---he just wanted to see how ignorant rube Luke Skywalker and Ben Kenobi were before he (over)charged them
2. The Count on Sesame Street is a real vampire
1. The Joker in The Dark Knight is a military veteran

15 actually seems incredibly plausible.

Actually, a lot of them seem plausible. I really like number 1 in fact, but I think 15 might have very well been the intent of Craig McCrakken.

I've read that one about the Nixon-impeachment thing being the reason for the alternate timeline of "West Wing," but I think some really smart person who knew all about how government thingies worked demonstrated how it didn't really work.

I'm not sure I see where they're coming from with the "Back to the Future" one, but I could possibly be convinced.

I'm not really sure the Nixon impeachment works for me either.

The castaways on Gilligan's Island represent countries. The creator of the show said so himself.

Yeah, I've seen this one before. Possibly true.

I'm pretty sure the Seven Deadly Sins thing is confirmed by the creator too.

Or maybe I was just sucked in by another urban myth. Damn you, Sherman Schwartz!

Is he Sherwood's brother?

I don't think Alfred has to be Bruce's biological father for Alfred to feel as if he were his adopted son.

19. The Joker (in Tim Burton's film) did not kill Bruce Wayne's parents, but rather Batman projects this idea on all his enemies.

I thought this would have been a fantastic idea. Bruce Wayne dreams/imagines his parents being killed by a young Oswald Cobblepot. He wakes up and asks for the file on Oswald Cobblepot ...and Jack Napier.

13. Jack Dawson in Titanic was a figment of Rose's imagination.

Who drew the picture?

11. James Bond, like The Doctor, is actually a Time Lord.

Better one - That James Bond is a cover name given to multiple agents over time as part of the 00 program.

I agree with you on 19. Rose could have drawn it herself. Your interpretation of Bond is a very common one. The Time Lord explanation better fits with this contest thing.

007 being a cover for multiple agents is one of the lamer fan therories. In one of the Moore movies he is mourning over the grave of Diana Riggs character from OHMSS. If they were different agents why would Moore be so upset over Lazenby's wifes death?

Maybe if Blofield was thought to be the cover I could buy that. Considering there was a different actor in each movie despite having the same actor play Bond.

So the Time Lord theory is clearly the only one that makes sense.

Seriously though, that's a minor thing easily ignored. Unless there are other instances of stuff like that I wouldn't completely throw out the idea based on that one part.

21 and 5 I think are actually true, and the latter is only mind-blowing in its obviousness.

House being a grown up Doogie Howser and The Campbells being Annie's grandparents are the only ones that I actually WANT to be true.

Not sure how you figure that one: He went up against Connery, then Lazenby, then Connery again, and finally Moore.

I've heard talk that Dekker was really a replicant before, but this is the first time I read the idea that Dekker was implanted with Gaff's memories. Interesting, and if you click on the link the full idea explains that this is the real reason why Gaff is resentful of Dekker.
