I've heard the "Three Little Birds" remix on a Hyundai car commercial and it sounds completely warmed over, reggae lite for the masses. Sad and unnecessary.

My first reaction was "Yet more milking of the Legend cow?" but I'll try to keep an open mind until I've actually heard this. Sometimes these remix projects are interesting, sometimes not. I enjoyed 1997's Dreams of Freedom: Ambient Translations of Bob Marley In Dub but that was more in keeping with the dub traditions of reggae, not a radical modernizing. As for the new project, I don't feel like I heard enough of the actual track in that "making of" video to know if it works or not. My first impression from the clips was that it was pleasant but a little run-of-the-mill.

Is this the same as the 2nd disc in the deluxe edition for "Legend" from about 10 years back? or all new remixes? That 2nd disc was rather awesome, but NEW mixes will most likely just be garbage...

This appears to be all new remixes. The bonus disc from Legend was all remixes from the 80s. Plus it was released on its own as "Legend Rarities Edition." I'm usually not a fan of modern remixes but if they have the Marley kids involved then there's at least a chance the whole album won't suck.

We need a new YACA-like acronym for sets like this...
Yet Another Unnecessary Remix Album, or YAURA.

I have to admit I enjoy the remixes Ziggy did on the "B Is For Bob" disc. It was marketed as a children's intro to Bob Marley's music but I really enjoy it. My little guy digs it too.
