According to musictap.net this is getting a 40th Anniversary edition but I've seen no evidence there's anything special about it other than a new remastering.
However, as the date draws nearer maybe that will change.

I hope that there'll be some bonus tracks.

Wasn't this just reissued? Like a year ago or something?

I'll have to check when I go to the office tomorrow. I could swear I bought this as a reissue not too long ago. It's easy to lose track though

Never owned this album but the hit song is ubiquitous. Is it a good album?

This is the purchase that convinced me that Steve Miller is someone to pursue through compilations. But of course that's personal preference.

The one album I do like from start to finish is Fly Like An Eagle. Even have the DTS version. And the title track is on my Acura 5.1 Surround demo disc that came with my car.

There was a JVC XRCD K2 Remaster in a digibook that was released a few years ago.

I think I do have that one somewhere in the house! Bought all of those JVC XRCD's.

The timing of this is suspicious, given the Edsel reissue campaign. Is this an effort by Steve Miller (or someone on US Capitol's staff) to undercut the Edsel reissue program. I'd hate to see this put a crimp in the Edsel program since they are so close to finishing it (assuming they move on to Born 2 Be Blue and Living in the 20th Century).
