Y'know, I was just thinking -- most of the classic writers from the 40s through the 60s were kinda "handcuffed" to the idea that comics were read by small children and that you had to make the stories relatively simple for them. Stan Lee took it up a notch but he still made sure to keep everything kid friendly.
Nowadays, writers feel no such restraints and write with an adult audience in mind.
So... which writers from the Golden and Silver Age would you be most curious to read a "no holds barred" comic story from?

I've read many such stories by Steve Ditko and have usually been satisfied by them.
Gardner Fox, John Broome and Robert Kanigher were all quite literate in their work and their tastes, which makes me think that they'd have been capable of doing interesting mature stories.
