For the past couple of years, I've really gotten into the habit of listening to movie-themed podcasts while working, especially ones where they discuss exploitation and horror films. Stuff like Radiodrome, The Projection Booth, Devour The Podcast, and, of course, The MovieFilm Podcast (featuring IMWAN's own Zaki Hasan).

Well, today, I'm recording an episode of Badasses, Boobs, and Bodycounts with host Mike Murphy. This will be the first podcast that I'll actually be on, and I've been looking forward to this for a while. I'm already loosely making plans to be on another one later on.

The movie we are discussing is Andy Warhol's Frankenstein (otherwise known as Flesh For Frankenstein) - I've been a fan of this film for a couple of decades now, and I love any chance I get to talk about it, so this works out great :)

The episode is scheduled to drop this Tuesday, so I'll be posting a link to it when it shows up :)

I saw Andy Warhol's Frankenstein in 3D on campus when I was in college (late 70s). I then did an oral presentation about it for my French class. Haven't seen it since, but certain images are forever lodged in my brain.

HAH! I did get to see it in 3D in the early 90's - me and the other three people in the theatre at the time all really liked it :D

It used to pop up on the USA network's Night Flight show but I'm sure they cut out a lot.

Doesn't Victor say something like, "You haven't lived life until you have fucked a liver," or something like that? I have seen this movie.

As far as film podcasts go, I like Filmspotting.

The episode is now up!

I'm just listening to it now - clearly I need a new microphone if I'm gonna do more of this, but I like how it's turning out so far :)

My top movie podcasts...

Now Playing Podcast
The Flop House
Keepin' It Reel
Filmspotting
How Did This Get Made?
We Hate Movies
Yeah, It's That Bad

And, of course, Doug Loves Movies, but that's more of a celebrity game show with movie categories.

Keepin It Reel is good, but can be a bit slight at times. I like the additon of Roth Cornet . By the content of Chris Carl's contribution, with his constant use of "You know" and "I mean", I imagined him to be a young dude. Then I saw him at C2E2 and he isn't much younger than me. All that said, I still listent to the podcast.

How Did This Get Made is also one of my faves, especially the live shows!

Filmspotting SVU is a lot of fun. Honestly, I probably enjoy it more than it's parent podcast.
