Wow...this is a first..an independant creator owned comic gets a billboard in Times Square...!!!

From some research online monthly fees are about $150 -$175 K per month for something like this...plus the cost of the sign..I guess as executive producer on WANTED and KICK ASS he is doing quite well now (i love comic book success stories) to afford something like this.

The only thing he should have done is add a link to his website or something to indicate where to buy it..people may not even know its a comic..may look like a movie or cartoon..but then again knowing Millar maybe thats the point :)

I looked at it, didn't buy it though. It's a Millar/McNiven production which means it's better to wait for the trade than sit through the delays they'll inevitably have. :ohyes:

I bought it. It was interesting. I'm on board for issue two. This will undoubtely be declared Comix Apocolypse by some. It is beyond over the top.

Has anyone read this series? I just finished the trade and it was perhaps Millar's worst written series ever. Full of the most inane illogical stuff. A premise he couldn't carry out.

Bannings: One too few . . .
I read it in floppies when it originally came out. I liked the concept, but it was just too over-the-top and vulgar. Revoltingly so. It made me want to shower after reading it. I got rid of it because I didn't want it laying around the house anywhere.

I kind of feel the same way about Kick Ass and Hit Girl. Those books, this one, are the only Millarworld I don't like or read. I read everything creator-owned he puts out, pretty much. Loved Secret Agent, Super Villains, Superior.

Yeah it was gross and vulgar and over the top, which is typical shock Millar. But it was also completely illogical with HUGE plot holes.
