I can't believe it's only these two configurations without some kind of an expensive upgrade including a guitar pick, scarf, obelisk or marble.

A definite for me on Blu!
Agreed. My only hesitation at this point will be to see if anything gets bundled with it or if anyone has any bonus exclusives. This is why I rarely pre-order anymore...I get burned too often with retail bonuses if I pre-order.

Just got mine. Is it me or is the packaging of the CD's pretty sloppy? I don't like the insert to be in with one of the CD's, that could scratch it. The dedication to Linda and Jimmy was a very nice touch.

Got my hands on a copy of this on DVD today. This is...how best to put it...
Dynamite.
Very clearly shot on film, not video - it has a definite warmth to it (some might call it softness). The editing is so cool - they even reference it in the liner notes, that it's not the hyperactive, cut-on-every-syllable garbage that we're used to now. There's a panning shot, I think in "Let Me Roll It" (I'm only up to "Richard Cory" at this point), that lasts about 40-45 seconds, a good 10 of which shows nobody. But it works. There's a shot in "Venus And Mars/Rock Show/Jet" where they just focus on the drummer for about 20 seconds.
Such a different feel for a show as well - at this point, everyone in the band except Joe English has introduced a song.
This couldn't have been much better. This is a great example of how to do it right. It's possibly the best video release of the year, in my mind.
If you're on the fence, you can get off. It's excellent.
