I remember hearing it played in-store at the Providence Place Mall Newbury Comics in 2003 & wishing I could have a copy of it as it truly was the (nearly) perfect Punk compilation CD.

I never opted for the box set as I have everything on it with the exception of 10 or 11 tracks -- I can certainly make my own copy of the sampler, though!

I keep trying and trying, but to no avail. Someday I'm going to convince Jimbo to purchase a collection categorization program and then dedicate a few years of his time to actually using it.

It is a comp from the box just like all the others. That is what Rhino does.

Thanks! In this case I actually have the box, so no need to track down a promo...

On rare occasions these promo samplers include content that doesn't show up on the box set. The sampler for the Dead's So Many Roads live box on Arista includes "Passengers" which is not on the box. And I believe that the sampler for Rhino's first Nuggets box includes some stereo tracks that turned up in mono on the box itself.

And what's also annoying about the Dead is them leaving off '76's Steal Your Face. I know they have never embraced it compared to other live releases but it should have been included on the 2nd box indstead of the seperate release they gave it.

For what it's worth, that Passenger appears on two other releases, the fairly hard to find Best of the Grateful Dead Hour and in the complete show of 5/19/77 that was released on Dick's Picks 29.

If you're really hunting for that version (it is pretty darn good)

Well, there's goes the collector's value of my sampler!
