Just rewatched most of these. I'm limiting the poll to just the full features that Hayao Miyazaki wrote and directed. If you like some of his other works, select Other and post specifics. I am also including his soon-to-be-released movie.
Select your top three favorites!

Yeah, I'm still considering which ones that I'll pick. I saw a poll on Facebook the other day (years ago I "Liked" Hayao Miyazaki, and that poll was on the only posts I've seen from that site. That survey only polled the Japanese audience and it featured only the Studio Ghibli work, but people were write-in voting for some of his pre-Ghibli work).

Gotta go with Lupin the third.
Castle of Cagliostro Howl's Moving Castle Princess Mononoke
Miyazaki, and especially Howl's Moving Castle, is an enormous influence on my work.

Spirited Away is the only one I've seen, and it was fantastic.I'm not really an anime fan,but I enjoyed it.Watching an anime film in a theater is a lot different than watching anime on TV.Spirited Away is the only anime I've seen on a big screen;it really makes a difference.

I've only seen the Totoro one. Most of the others are in my Netflix queue and I'll get to them one day hopefully.

Boo: I missed the fact that I could cast three votes (but only had one chance to do it).
I cast my favorite by far: Spirited Away (so moody and enchanting: I watch it with the light off)
My second and third: Howl's Moving Castle (especially like that an openly gay man was the main character) Kinki's Delivery Service (a thin cover for porn; what's not to love?)

I have anime-phobia. I just cannot get into this stuff. I liked Marine Boy as a kid and so on, and I once saw Space Adventure Cobra, and fell asleep part of the way through. It's the drawing style, the everything.....it's just not my thing. I've tried to give it a chance, but it leaves me perplexed and disinterested every time. I tried to watch Akira (still don't know what was meant to be going on), tried to watch Ghost In The Shell (fell asleep...although the invisibility thing in the rain looked cool), and watched several episodes of the updated version of Bubblegum Crisis. I'm immune to the charms of Japanese cartooning styles, and have no real affection for the characters in the stories. Meh.

I myself fell asleep the first two times I tried to watch Akira (though the animation is superb). But I think it's a medium like any other, although the quality of the animation is more consistent than American animation.
