From the Miles Ahead site:
Sony is preparing two new sets for release in the fall. The first is another installment in the Miles Davis Bootleg Series, to appear in September 2012 -- this will be a three-CD, one-DVD set of live 1969 sets, including two concerts from Antibes on July 25 and July 26, plus pieces of two sets from Stockholm on November 5. The DVD will contain the November 7 performance at the Berlin Philharmonie. The second set is a reissue of the first eight Miles Davis Columbia LPs in mono -- 'Round About Midnight, Miles Ahead, Milestones, Jazz Track, Porgy and Bess, Kind of Blue, Sketches of Spain, and Someday My Prince Will Come. The LPs will be pressed on 180-gram vinyl and will come in heavy facsimilies of the original covers.
Looks like release date is now January 2013.

Sorry, but still feel the need to yammer on about how great this set is. An astounding group. Hope the series continues. Miles played a lot of dates in the early 70s - seems to be loads to pick from for further sets.

Do you think these are valid? Is the sound quality poor to the point of distraction? Thanks for your opinion.

I'm not an audiophile so can't help you with technical aspects. I've listened to the boots of these for years. I'm satisfied with the set, and the video is fantastic (and has been on youtube for awhile). Love this particular group so am way more than satisfied.

I'm not an audiophile either, but I was just wondering if the sound quality was noticeably poorer than other releases to the point of distraction. I guess not, so thanks for your response.

I'm very happy with this. To be honest, I've been getting too lost in the performances to notice the sound quality. I guess that means if it was really bad, I'd have noticed. The music ia amazing!! I hope this series continues!!!

Listening and watching several 1971 European shows with Ndugu, Bartz, and Jarrett. Be a great set. Also the 1973 guitar bands, and the 1975 Tokyo shows. Also like to see a 1981-82 set with the comeback band featuring Bill Evans and Mike Stern.
