The garage classic written by Chip Taylor for a NYC band called The Wild Ones....before taking off in England a year later. Not about relief pitchers.....real or fake. Play it loud!

Jimi's version is the one I hear in my head when I think of this song, so he gets my vote.

Fancy. I had the 45 back in the 70s and searched for years before finding it on CD. It just exudes sex appeal--not surprising since lead singer Helen Caunt's previous claim to fame was as a Penthouse Pet.VIDEO

I was tempted to pick the Bobby Kennedy impersonation version, but, instead, I'm going with "other," for a live performance by Chip Taylor and Carrie Rodriguez when I saw them several years ago at the Iron Horse in western Massachusetts...a playful, yet sexy, rendition. A live version can be found on their "Live from the Ruhr Triennale" album.

That clinches it, I need to add a Goodies best-of to my next AmazWan.uk order. I see they have a budget comp in print.

Seriously? Come on, it's the Troggs. Jimi's version is excellent, but the Troggs own this. I'm with Kid Bailey on this one.
