Any CSN experts here know if Chuck's Lament, the b side to Live It Up was ever released on CD, or vinyl, for that matter in the US? Have CSN planned a reissue of LIU complete with Chuck's Lament and or other added tracks? I have the cassette single but would like to get that in some other format.

Dave, Not in the US, but it was released on a German CD single of "Live It Up": http://www.discogs.com/Crosby-Stills-Na ... se/2804682It was a real bitch to find thanks to the combination of the fact that it shares the name of the album and how common the promo CD single is.

linda,
well done, a hard one to find for sure.
as far as i know it was never released on CD in the U.S.
as for reissues of "live it up", i wouldn't hold my breath. after the couch album and "daylight again" were reissued with bonus tracks the boat album, "live it up" and "after the storm" were supposedly on the drawing board for the same treatment, but i have not seen anything about that for a couple of years. in fact, when they do their regular "coming soon" from the CSN camp, these are not even mentioned anymore.
another CSN rarity that is tough to find is the redone version of "carry on" from the "replay" album, possibly as tough as 'chuck's lament".

Who wrote this song?
Re Carry On, if you can play vinyl, Replay can usually be scored pretty cheap on ebay.

Looks like Dave or someone else grabbed one -- there is only one copy left at Linda's link. And the listing is in Deutsch.

Thanks, Linda!
No, I didn't snatch that up. Wanted to, but kind of high for me at the moment. Still hoping it surfaces someday on a compilation or reissue of Live It Up. But now that I know of its existence, I might have to search for it. I used to know a cool online dealer that had pretty much every cd single. If I could only remember the name.
Thanks again!
Dave
