Simple Minds today revealed the tracklist for the new best-of collection it first announced last fall, confirming that the band’s career-spanning Celebrate — The Greatest Hits+ will be released this spring in a 2CD, 36-song format as well as a 3CD, 50-song edition with each version featuring a pair of new songs.

Both editions are set to be released March 25 in the U.K. and Europe, with a North American release set for May, according to the band’s website.

The 2CD version spans 12 albums over 34 years, while the 3CD set covers 13 albums over 36 years, with the latter including the band’s cover of the Patti Smith classic “Dancing Barefoot” from the Neon Lights cover album as well as “Stagefright,” the band’s one-off 2011 single.

Simple Minds are promoting the new best-of with a previously announced 28-date U.K. tour.

would've been nice to have included their version of 'sign o the times'. still a nice collection; though i only need the new tunes and possibly stagefright.

Only joking, 3CD version sold. A much better package than "The Best Of Simple Minds" (well visually at least) but I hope that single versions are used.

Bump: UK pre-order links are now in the first post. The prices look decent, but of course it might pay to wait for the domestic releases two months later.

This looks outstanding and from what I understand the single versions are being used. And this is way better than any previous collection. I've always liked these guys but only own Sparkle In The Rain so I will definitely get the 3 CD version.

I hope that the single versions are really used. I will be adding the 3-CD package to my collection. I enjoy the artwork, too!

This beats the heck out of the two previous hits collections. Even though I have all the original albums (thanks to the recent X5 box), I'll be in for the 3CD version of this one.

It's a nicer packaged collection than any since "Glittering Prize" in 1992.

i'm actually looking forward to this.
i own the 2CD "Glittering Prize" best-of...
but since the only album of their's that i like from beginning to end is "New Gold Dream..." (which i religiously ADORE!),
this 3CD set will be a nice replacement and more comprehensive.

This was in my Amazon UK shipment today. Inside the box is a flyer announcing a fall tour with Ultravox. Sure wish that one would come stateside.

Can anyone confirm if this contains the single versions, or full-length album cuts?
