There has been no announcement of these, but I was listening to the Three Sides Of The Coin podcast and the host, a former KISS insider, said that KISS signed a five year deal with Universal when they released Monster last year and that some deluxe KISS reissues are part of that deal.

If this proves to be false, this thread can always be deleted later.

At any rate, we'll probably get a comp out of this. You know how Universal loves releasing those!

Maybe we will finally get a deluxe version of Destroyer that destroys all previous versions.

Hard to get real excited for this with Destroyer Resurrected being such a big letdown.

Yes, but they were saving the good stuff for this new Deluxe Anniversary Black And Silver Studded Spandex Pyrotechnic Extravaganza Edition!

Besides, everyone knows that years of drug abuse have diminished Ezrin's abilities, and he just can't produce the old material like he used to, so they're going to get Rick Rubin and put him in Ezrin makeup to do these.

The REAL fans will buy them, and if they don't, that just means the REAL fans aren't the target audience which is why they'll also release even specialer versions of these that only contain the popular songs that everyone wants to hear, like the single-track version of "Dressed To Kill". And the blank version of "Crazy Nights".

I never bothered with the Destroyer remix.

I have to believe actual Deluxe Editions are going to have mostly the same lame demos from the boxset but if some single edits/mixes, of the era live cuts and fully formed rare songs are included I'm in.

And there is NO way they can ever make Hotter Than Hell sound better than shit.

Gene just trademarked that description. You're gonna have to retract your post, Alan.

I'm not big on remixes. Give me demos, alternate takes and live stuff if it sounds good.

And IP, I just found out that the Hotter Than Hell deluxe is going to be titled Hotter Than Hell: Better Than Shit Deluxe Edition.

Some KISS fans think that remixing that album would improve it. My gut tells me that it probably wasn't well-recorded to begin with.

I agree-it was rushed like mad on a low budget and sounded like it. Such a shame because those songs and riffs are among the very best in the catalogue.

Uodate: New title is Hotter Than Hell: Better Than $hit-The $immon$ Mix

The bonus disc for Hotter Than Hell contains a track that is nothing more than Gene taking a dump, then saying, "See - doesn't the album sound better than that?" The audio of Tommy Thayer wiping Gene's ass will be on the Sonic Boom deluxe edition.

This thread has devolved into crass vulgarity.

Not that there's anything wrong with that....!

For making bad puns. He was replaced by Anton Frig.

Shortly before they set Ace Freely.

Ace Freely left of his own accord. While touring with Vinnie Vinnocent, both Gene and Paul wanted Ace to come back, but Ace's reply was, "You'll see Freshley's Comet before that'll happen!"

Then he got into his Eric Carr and drove away. That didn't end well!

And Bruce Kulick's lack of vocals are why they had to hire another Eric Singer.

He also had to take some Mark St. John's wort to calm down.

But typical Ace, he took way too much and it made him paranoid, so he had to see Tommy sooThayer.

How about a super deluxe edition of Kiss' debut with the Wicked Lester album included?

I thought about that one years ago, but I don't think Gene and Paul want the Wicked Lester album out there officially.

They wanted the bootleggers to make money off them back in the days of paid bootlegs.
