In order:

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug
Star Trek Into Darkness
Monsters University
Pacific Rim (new!)
The Wolverine
Iron Man 3
The Muppets 2

I'll see the second Thor, Kick Ass 2, and the Lone Ranger, but I don't have urge to do so.

My relationship with Man of Steel is...complicated.

Edited to add Monsters U.

I'm more excited about Star Trek than anything else, but there are whole bunches of movies coming out that I want to see in theaters.

Looks like a great year. I guess I'd vote Star Trek, but I am also pumped for The Wolverine, Muppets, and Lone Ranger.

The one that stands out as odd is Pacific Rim. Of all the films, that seems to be the one that would look the best on a theater screen.

I'm way too selective in my theater going to see any more than the above, simply because of cost. We have a 56" television in the entertainment room that provides more than sufficient scale for me to enjoy blockbusters on. But generally, my superhero movies and always Trek will be seen in theater. After all those, I can't afford to see everything.

That makes sense. I forget that some people have pretty nice home theater set ups.

For me, with a family of 5, it's about 45 bones to go to a movie, and I either have to be an ogre on popcorn, or spend about $25 more on concessions.

Plus, I'm on the hook for usually 3 or 4 movies a year that are kid movies I probably wouldn't put on my own movie list. So I'm pretty selective on the ones I go see at the theater.

Of that list Trek. But World War Z with Brad Pitt might be the most fun movie of the year!

Will drive the bus to:
Star Trek: Into Darkness
The Wolverine

Will see in theaters with at least one loved one:
Muppets 2

Will see in the theater if the reviews are not horrible:
Lone Ranger

Will see in theaters if a friend and I need something to do:
Man of Steel
Iron Man 3

Will be steering well clear of:
Thor 2
Hobbit 2
Kick Ass 2

Add to the list of Pixar movies that I will eventually watch someday, somehow:
that Monsters thing.

It also stands out because it's the only one of those that isn't an adaptation, a sequel or a sequel of an adaptation.

I can agree with this.
