Not 100% confirmed, but a KISS site is reporting that Universal's "Back To Black" imprint will issue a 29 disc vinyl 45 set titled KISS: The Casablanca Singles on Nov 13th. It's also rumored a CD version of this will be released as well.

Stay tuned for official confirmation (if there is any) and a finalized track listing.

Hopefully it won't be 29 CDs!

If it follows the models of the Beatles and Stones boxes, it probably will be.

The only problem with a KISS singles box is that there were no non-album b-side tracks and aside from "Flaming Youth" and "I Love It Loud," no picture sleeves in the US. Ironic, considering it's KISS.

I was thinking the same thing.

Unless they include some picture sleeves from foreign releases and/or have some cool packaging for this, I'm not sure. I've never bought a "singles box" before. It would be interesting to hear the bizarre single edit of "Detroit Rock City" in CD quality.

According to this web page, this will be coming out in November at Barnes & Noble & Best Buy. It appears to be vinyl at this point, although no official details have emerged.

KISS: The KISS Casablanca Single Collection Details



UME is releasing a collection of KISS singles as early as November. The box set will be available at Barnes & Noble and Best Buy.

The set will consist of 29 singles, 26 of them are picture sleeve singles with the solo singles in colored vinyl, red, green, red, blue and feature a mask of each member just as it was released in the UK. The box set comes in a black case with a firery KISS logo emblazed on the front.

The "Detroit Rock City" single edit is one of the most bizarre I've ever heard. It's a really hacked up version.

But will I get this box set of stuff I already own for that?

$160 is a mere pittance. I'm sure Jimbo will get the Discorama price.

I already told 'em to hold it for me if they get one in.

I am shocked that Universal (or whomever owns the right for the back catalog in the US) never did a Japanese mini-sleeve issue of the the regular albums in the United States like Warner Bros did with the Zeppelin catalog. I think that could have been a pretty decent seller, especially with the out-of-this-world job the Japanese did on those releases.

This Singles set is interesting but there is just not enough unreleased stuff to get me to bite.

There might be an exclusive vinyl version at those retailers. The one listed at Amazon has been confirmed as a CD set.

They are indeed using foreign picture sleeves. I hope the US "Flaming Youth" picture sleeve (the one picture sleeve from the originals era) is included.

This set showed up at 'Rama today. I decided I wasn't leaving without it.

I got mine last month from Amazon. It's the first time I ever bought a singles collection, because I used to think the concept of only having two or three songs on a CD was...absurd.
