I hope that they make this really worthwhile. I'd hate to have to spend the money and get the same material that I already have many times over. It's not cheap either!

yup,

at least 2 discs worth if not more. and i really don't think that there is that much out there, at least band-wise. i know of solo stuff (stewart's first 2 albums), but as far a band material goes, if it's out there it's a well kept secret. almost all the b-sides and rarities that i knew of have been added on to album when they were remastered.

screw the DVD and make it a 5 CD set.

It's on my UK wish list but I'm not sure I will pull the tigger at this point.

I'd love to see some pre-10cc stuff. I had a vision for a 10cc box a while back where the first disc was all early stuff: Hotlegs, Doctor Father, the records they did as Ohio Express and Freddie and the Dreamers (!), the Neil Sedaka tunes where they played backup. Maybe even stuff before that (Mockingbirds, Mindbenders, the Graham Gouldman Thing, Frabjoy and Runcible Spoon).

Thanks to the million selling novelty hit Neanderthal Man, scant attention was paid to pre-10cc act, Hotlegs (Godley, Creme and Stewart).

A pity as the band's lone album, Thinks: School Stinks, was a visionary work, which can be ranked alongside the best of the band member's future achievements.

With its roots in an aborted 1969 Frabjoy & Runcible Spoon (Godley & Creme) album, Thinks: School Stinks was an ambitious creation, offering exquisite ballads, eccentric sonic experiments, occasional Rock-outs, and the grand 13 minute piece, Suite F.A. ("Our version of Side Two of Abbey Road," according to Godley).

Presented in newly-commissioned artwork, this collection features a new essay on Hotlegs and gathers together every track issued in the band's name, including both versions of Thinks: School Stinks, two non-album singles and a US-only remix of Neanderthal Man.

That looks pretty cool, too. It always kinda bothered me that the title of that album was literally "Thinks: School Stinks" instead of "Hotlegs Thinks: School Stinks."

Man that is one obscure album to release after all these years. Doubt they will sell many of those.

How many versions of "I'm Not In Love" are there? (Excluding live versions.)

Hmmm... I already have most of the b-sides on the old remasters. I don't think I can justify it.

Which made me go looking once again for the missing tracks from the US version of Ten Out of 10 which I see are on the Japanese SHM mini-sleeve. Quite expensive but maybe worth it to finally have all of these songs in one place. The whole 10cc shm series looks very nice, but too much money.

Does anyone have any of these?
