Just ordered Klaatu's new 2012 remaster of "Hope", their second album released in September, 1977. It was awarded Best Engineered Album by the Juno Awards for Terry Brown (of Rush fame) therefore I am really excited to hear this version.

Below some fo the notes from the website: http://klaatutheband.com/home/news.php

Remastered in 2012 by Klaatu, Terry Brown and Peter E. Moore at the “E: Room”
Includes 24 page, enhanced graphics booklet by Ted Jones

We're Off You Know / Madman / Around the Universe in Eighty Days / Long Live Politzania / The Loneliest of Creatures / Prelude / So Said the Lighthouse Keeper / Hope

All orders will recieve a complimentary Hope postcard

I just got mine and gave it a listen. I like it better than the 25th Anniversary issue from a few years ago. To me this new one sounds more airy and clearer. Also to me, I hear more separation of the instruments. It's just really good sounding. I'm sure somewhere someone is going to pick it apart and say they hate it but for what it's worth I liked it.

Thanks Trebor for the review. Myself and Fraxon are anixiously awaiting for our copies.

As for the picking it apart, some at another board were at it on the first remaster/ first album. "Bullseye" (Klaatu poster) actually signed off and gave up beacuse of ther attitudes. What a shameful treatment, they (Klaatu) are doing their best and I personally enjoyed the first album reissue.

I'm listening to the Justin Entertainment version (JEMD13) right now, and it sounds lovely and clear.

Just listened to the just received CD. Sounds really good BUT I don't know, its just me but to me this hasn't aged well, a bit overblown. But then again, I haven't heard this on a long time and a W/E listen may allow me to appreciate this even more.
