The Simpsons is the obvious choice, but since it has gone on way past its prime I think a lot of other more green shows could easily take the cake here on having a better overall quality.
You may notice the absence of the Cleveland Show. I don't feel I should have to explain myself there.
I am sure I missed something big. If so feel free to shamelessly mock me for doing so.

But you like Community. And Scrubs. Your opinion is highly suspect.
You wouldn't be saying that if you had seen any post-return Futurama. The original four seasons were consistently awesome with not a one bad episode. Then the movies came along and they just got more and more lame until "Into The Wild Green Yonder" which was just lame as hell.
The relaunched series is miles better than Yonder was, but it is for the most part way short of what the show used to be.
Archer is consistently hilarious, but lacks any emotional depth. The Venture Bros is hilarious way more often than not, has some truly emotional moments, and is one of the best animated shows on that list making it the WINNAH. Venture is by far the best animated show on Adult Swim in that it is the only show on a Adult Swim that isn't just Flash animated (save the first episode which was).

Even though The Simpsons has long since jumped the shark and/or nuked the fridge, there's such a volume of material that it still edges out the competition. I'd say South Park comes closest.

Of the shows listed, I like Venture Brothers and Dr. Katz the most. Futurama is okay as well.
The rest I can take or leave. I think South Park is hugely overrated, and I cannot stand American Dad or Family Guy. I haven't watched The Simpsons in years, so I don't know what it's like these days. The rest of those shows I haven't even seen.

If you liked Dr. Katz you will likely like Home Movies and Bob's Burgers as well. Same creator behind all three. He also created Lucy: Daughter of the Devil which was on the list, but I removed it because I had too many options and Lucy, while great, only had one season.

I'll have to rent or borrow The Venture Bros. at some point. I've seen the odd episode here and there but never bothered to make a point of watching it regular like.
Btw, there was a Conan-style pilot on Adult Swim some time ago. Forget what it was called but it looked really good.

Shows should be judged by their best work.Even if The Simpson's best days are long behind it,none of the other shows would have probably gotten on the air if not for The Simpsons' breakthrough.

There were non-kid oriented animated shows before The Simpsons, though.
Besides, if we have The Simpsons to thank for Family Guy & The Cleveland Show, it's kind of a dubious honour.
Yes,but most of them were short-lived.The Simpsons' success opened the floodgates for other animated prime time stuff, but you can't blame it for what washes up.

King of the Hill first, Daria second. Ironically, both are shows that could have been done with live actors, and maybe it's that realism that I like about them.
