Along with a much lauded solo career that, pushed the boundaries of rock/jazz fusion, Bolin played with The James Gang and Deep Purple which set him up for major solo guitar stardom which was cut short by his untimely death in 1976. I've always though that photo looked like a girl.

So the question remains, did they find the original tapes? Last reported they were in England in all places. The "lost" masters are the main reason a reissue has not occurred.

I only know Bolin's work with Billy Cobham and Deep Purple. Is this the best entry point to his solo career? Maybe not this edition, but should I seek out the original album?
