He's up there, that's for sure. I can't think of anyone like him.

His art reminds me of Heavy Metal magazine, back when it was good.

I'm stunned we haven't already started a thread dedicated to this man's genius!

Using this link http://www.comicbookdb.com/creator_chron.php?ID=544to see a chronological listing of his work, the first time I saw his art would have been this cover. I think it may have been this issue of The Authority that made me really take notice of his talents and know his name.

I loved the "Evil Kirby" storyline from The Authority. It's some of Millar's best work.

Not a fan. His artwork looks very "still" to me, reserved and quiet. His poses look like still shots, even when he attempts an action pose. What do you think would be a good example of his work with some real "Kirby crackle," something where it's exploding off the page or really suggesting motion. I like action poses that look almost odd and twisting. Also, I like drapery on clothing that suggests twisting or motion or direction, not just a crinkly textured look.
But I won't trash him in his appreciation thread -- just wondering if there's some work of his out there that might change my mind.
