I put my preorder via Amazon UK. Good price for all what you get. Amazing content. Blur is one of my THE fave bands from the BritPop era. And with them reforming this year with a new album they may own the year.

How much was the boxset? I'm interested but it looks really pricey.

WMB,

It's currently £120.37. I've added the product image and pre-order link to the first post.

My preorder price was Order Total: £103.39. And its possible we can even a lower price as we get closer to release date.

Either case I wanted to lock in since I am so excited about this set. It will be the boxset of the year for me. :ohyes:

Blur was robbed in the British rock band tribute during the Olympics opening ceremonies. Prodigy but not Blur? Come on.

Pretty sure I heard a bit of "Song 2" in there somewhere, but I could be wrong...

yeah, I noticed that too. No Britpop? That was the last time the UK was fun! Prodigy in comparison sucked and Firestarter really has to be the most over-hyped song of all time. For about a second it seemed like "techno" would be the next big thing.....then people realized it was soulless.

It's like the 1980s and 1990s never happened (except for Prodigy).

So true, I loved the "BritPop" era. JohnG is quite right, it was a very fun period.
You have to go back to early 80's New Wave to get close and in my book "BritPop" was even better.

I also loved that Madchester sound. Great stuff during that period of time including The Stone Roses.

Received my Blur boxset (today) on a Saturday! YEAH!

I just finished listening to the first 2 cd set "Leisure". It blows away the original CD and the bonus tracks on CD 2 are excellent.
Really nice package and looking forward to explore this somewhat overwhelming set.
So much material but thats the way I like it. Great hardcopy book included as well as the DVD's.
This will take month(s) to get through.

Its going to be a BritPop W/E at my house.
Blur, Oasis, Charlatans, Pulp, Stone Roses and many more. I just love 90's Brit sound personally.
