For someone so talented,Eddie Murphy makes a lot of bad movies. But once in a while, almost by accident,he stars in a good one.

Trading Places, no question. One of the funniest movies I have EVER seen.

I voted for Beverly Hills Cop.

"Beverly Hills Cop" was HUGE back in the day--ran in theaters in Detroit for literally about a yeat-and-a-half. But I went with "48 Hours". I liked "Coming To America" and "Trading Places", and he was outstanding in "Dreamgirls", but for the most part, he completely lost me with "Harlem Nights". I have very dim memories of "Another 48 Hours".

While I have a lot of fondness for (the boobs in) Coming to America, Trading Places was genius.

I liked him better when he was playing 1st base for the Orioles.

Trading Places, that Eddie charm is all there on the screen. Shocking what a poor career he's actually had when you look at the list.

Basically if it wasn't for Donkey, he would have been invisible for the past 15 years.

Shrek 2 was even better (funnier) than Shrek.
