Thought he directed more movies than this.
Have an idea how the votes will fall, but duty compels me to list all his films.

I always think of My Favorite Year as a Mel Brooks movie, even though he didn't write or direct the picture.

But he was an (uncredited) executive producer and an inspiration.

I believe Brooks also produced The Elephant Man, no?

That was hilarious.

For me it's a tie between Blazing Saddles & Young Frankenstein.

Blazing Saddles. Probably the funniest movie I've ever seen.

This was a tough one. I ended up going with Blazing Saddles. But I love them all. Brooks is on regular rotation in our house.

Young Frankenstein is a perfect movie.

Dracula Dead and Loving It is vastly underrated.

The Gene Hackman scene should be sent into deep space as an example of human comedy done right.

Blazing Saddles with Young Frankenstein so close behind that it looks like they are mating.

Blazing Saddles, though Young Frankenstein is right up there. Both still make me laugh silly. When I was 13, it was Spaceballs, because that movie is designed for a 13 year old.

Young Frankenstein.

Blazing Saddles may actually be funnier, but the production values on YF are just amazing.

If you're a fan of Young Frankenstein, make a point of watching the original Son of Frankenstein.

Even the scenery in Son of Frankenstein makes me laugh (the ridiculously huge door knockers). When the Inspector walks in with that wooden arm, I bust out laughing.
