As Herman, Lily, and Grandpa Munster respectively.

I feel weirdly obligated to watch this at this point even if I am not a fan of the source material.

I really don't know what to think of that. Or understand why it is necessary.

Eddie Izzard, tho. Wow. I never would have guesses that for casting. It is amazing and inspired and a wee little bit scary.

I'm looking forward to seeing it at least once.

I'd pay to watch Eddie Izzard eat Chicken McNuggets.

I used to love The Munsters. I loved the opening theme song.

My first "Aha!" moment concerning TV sitcom production was when I noticed that both the Munsters and Leave it to Beaver were produced by the same guy (Joe Connelly). That same name was written in chalk on Beaver's sidewalk credits, and in the dripping blood of the Munsters credits.

Another "Aha!" moment was figuring out that Gilligan's Island and the Brady Bunch were produced by the same people (since the artist that made the hand-painted signs on Gilligan's Island used the same "font" when he or she made hand-painted signs for the Brady Bunch).

Munsters reboot? I think I agree with Tuna as to whether such a thing s necessary.

There were a lot of unanswered questions.

It was the Prometheus of 60's sitcoms.

Since he will be playing an aged vampire black lipstick seems likely.

Heels not so much.

Between Eddie Izzard and Portia de Rossi this is definitely something I need to watch at least once. Completely unnecessary or not, which it definitely is.

I would have said that a Munsters reboot was thoroughly unneeded, but that's an interesting cast.

TV shows, as a whole, are not necessary. Thanks.

I agree.

And yet, some people spend an inordinate amount of time watching them.

Nobody remembers The Munsters Today, starring John Schuck and Lee Meriwether? Aired in syndication, 1988-1991.

The scariest monster in that picture is the girl on the far left.

I think I remember that series, but only vaguely.

I vaguely remember it too. I think my young self just thought it was the old one, colorized.

I vividly remember it. I was a big fan of the Munsters as a kid and I was thoroughly disappointed by it. The only thing that disappointed me more in 1989 was Burton's Batman.

It was unnecessary.
