Another vote for the Dead End costume. I like the black utility belt. It looks good with this design.

I really like the Dead End costume, but I do like a bit of yellow in the belt.
There is some merit to the Arkham costume. I like a lot of it as well.
I like the move costume the least of all.

Well, I voted the Dead End costume. I really like it and I agree that if done right, a cloth suit can work. I wouldn't mind a mix of the Dead End/Arkham suit.
My son like the movie version.
I just send him to his Iso-WAN-Cube. He is SO banned it's not even funny.

Dead End is the best costume.

I like the Dark Knight costume a lot, just wish the emblem was bigger. However, I don't really think it is my favorite. This is a tough choice.
The Dead End costume is of course closest to the comics, but it has that seam down the leg which just kinda bugs me.

I guess I'm really in the minority here.
To me, the Dead End costume just shows how lame the costume looks if literally translated to live action. It looks good on the page, but on someone, no matter how muscled, looks just like ridiculous pajamas. At most, the spandex costume just works in a light hearted environment, like in the Adam West series.
Of the movie ones, I like the first Keaton costume. I like the leathery texture and the sculpture of the cowl. Looks really nice in the shadows. I like the cape and suit from Begins, but not the cowl. Looks more feline that it should. The TDK costume is ok, but it does seem to cross the line into the "too much" territory.
The Arkham City costume is the best. The sculpture of the cowl is awesome and it has a nice, rough texture to it. Looks practical (as much as a suit like that can be) and iconic.

It's surprising how well the DE costume works. I think it would still need some tweaks for a big screen release, but still, wow.

A martial arts master and expert stunt man could do some amazing things in that Dead End costume. I would get a Jackie Chan or Tony Jaa director to consult for the action scenes.
The Dead End costume would also make for a great retro Batman TV series. I would love to see the some of the later Batman villains retroed to 1940 crime.

To me, what sells the DE costume is the build of the actor. I like how he's taping up his hands in the beginning when he's getting ready.

Yeah, I find the DK suit over-designed. I don't get what those little dot thingies and lines are supposed to be on the other one.

I was reading an Alex Ross book last night that had a basic Batman design, but Ross was describing how he made the cape and flowing cowl more of a metallic blue to give the illusion that they are bullet-proof.
Geez, its like these people don't get Batman. Batman doesn't get shot for the same reason movie action stars don't get shot.

Geez, its like these people don't get Batman. Batman doesn't get shot for the same reason movie action stars don't get shot. And it's a shame that one of those people should be Alex Ross.
