Venture Bros.

Duh.

(Joking. Although Venture does have the solid adventure style episode every now and then they are rare and usually not even the best episodes)

It's the gold standard in my book -- although the animation is cheap, the artwork is quality. Sort of Indiana Jones adventure with the perfect cast -- Jonny (so the young identify), Race Bannon is the James Bond muscle, and Dr. Benton Quest is sort of a Reed Richards genius type.

Occasional boredom, but each new episode is something fresh and inventive. It was only on one season in 1964. And it was historic because it was prime time -- that kind of show on prime time was really an eye-opening decision.

The JQ episode "The Invisible Monster" is one of my favorite episodes of ANY show ever.

The thing about JQ was that people actually DIED. Pretty hardcore.

This youtube is one of my favorites -- it's called "Race Bannon vs. Human Life"

The Superfriends covers such a range from the excellent Challenge of the Superfriends to the weak-sauce first season that I cannot vote in this poll.

Flintstones - Jonny Quest - Scooby Doo

That's the holy trinity of HB.

You have your lesser animal stars begat by Ruff and Ready, everything else is an offshoot of the big three.

JQ gets my vote... just for transcending the medium.

For my slightly younger set, we had Laff-A-Lympics. Just about the same show.
