He was over in Dublin a few years ago for a convention -- got him to sign my copies of UXM 248, X-Men 1 and WildC.A.Ts 1; in addition, he did a headshot sketch of Magneto for me. He's a decent skin.

Right in between "He's fookin' awesome." and "Good, but not one of my faves."

I think he's progressed quite a bit. His old stuff is fine, but I like he newer stuff a bit better.

And hasn't he had the same inker for like 400 years? I think he should get some props as well.

When I was a kid, I really really wanted the three posters that Marvel sold with this image. It seemed like the coolest thing ever.

Cool. What's that from?

There's a similarly recolored version of that other three-part poster somewhere out there.

It's right above your response.

It's from the X-Men: Mutant Genesis 2.0 book and I think both are used in the recent Jim Lee Omnibus books.

Oh, so they recolored old covers and posters for the 2.0 thing? I thought it was just X-Men 1-7.

Also: Yess. If I ever got to write X-Men, I would make that the team ... just so that poster could be used as an alternate cover.

A lot of the drawing is pretty wonky in that one. He got better with each gatefold cover.

I can't really tell, and I am affected by nostalgia too. It helps also that it has Rogue in her Best Costume Evah, instead of the crappy one that Lee designed himself.
