I go back and forth between Ratatouille and Up. I voted for Up in this poll. But in times past I have voted for Ratatouille.

Toy Story 3 was incredible. It loses a little bit of points for being a Part 3, and not as much a brilliant stand-alone like the above 2. Part of the affection I had for it was closing the book in characters that had been around for a good chunk of my life.

Toss up between Incredibles and Bugs Life. Incredibles won the toss.

Same for me.

Is this the second poll where you and I had the exact same top two?

Third. You left out the "Have you ever A.C. Slatered in the john" poll.

Incredibles. The super-hero flavor puts it over the top.

Like most funnybook nerds, I went Incredibles... but honestly, while I haven't seen them all, the ones I have seen would all get an "A+".

I haven't seen A Bug's Life, and I don't tend to like Toy Story 1 as much as other people. I think I liked Cars more than most people. I think WALL-E was pretty good, but I don't think I liked it as much as most people.

I've seen Incredibles, Toy Story 3, Up and Wall-E.

I think they're all great. I thought you loved Ratatouille because it was secret propaganda for some right-wing extremist philosophy or something.

It's like having to choose which of your children you love best. You love them all equally, but for different reasons.

I refuse to vote.

It affirms the dignity of the individual over the collective, yes.

I thought The Incredibles was the one with the secret right-wing agenda.

Somewhat. Ratatouille was Brad Bird's next film. So it's more of an expression even than the Incredibles.

The subtext of Incredibles is about exceptionalism. The theme of Ratatouille is that exceptionalism is real, not imagined, but it could come from the most unlikely of people (or rats).

I don't think it's the best Pixar movie, but by far my favourite is A Bug's Life. I can watch it repeatedly and it always makes me happy.

I didn't have kids back then, hadn't really become "a thing" to like Pixar movies.

Never circled back and watched it with the kids. I'm not even sure they saw it.
