Remember when a few months ago when I was way into Spawn?
What the hell was I thinking?

I bought all these books, DVDs and figures. A complete waste of money. Spawn is terrible.

That made me literally laugh out loud.
Sorry about your money though.

I was thinking that at the time. But I feel closer to you know. If that was possible. I've said too much.

I want McFarlane back on Spider-Man, with stern writing. I know I'm a heathen

Don't worry, Monk is still into Bendis and Howard the Duck. It could've been worse.

Howard the duck is great. Specially the "It's a Wonderful Life" parody by Steve Gerber and Paul Smith.

I seem to recall enjoying the Spawn cartoon on HBO. A younger guy at the last place I worked was really into buying the comics. He would buy multiples and bag and board them. I think he was reading them, at least at first, but I think even he kept buying them out of habit to collect them.

Spawn's had a big marketing push for the new direction with Portacio/McFarlane. Now would probably be the best time to unload any of your unwanted Spawn stuff, and not take too much of a loss on it (hopefully)

Speaking of Spawn, there is a McFarlane Toys store near the Cardinals' stadium that I went to before the game today. They have lots and lots of McFarlane toys that have gone out of print as low as $3. It was pretty cool I guess.

I just got Spawn 1-175 and didn't pay one cent. This way I can read it, realize it's crappy, then be glad I didn't pay for it.

I bought the "Art of Todd McFarlane" book a while back and finally read through it over the past few days. This has made me nostalgic for Spawn. But it seems Spawn is fucking terrible. Damn it, McFarlane, why couldn't you have just hired Alan Moore to write your comic for you? Full-time, not just one issue. You bastard. At least the animated series was good.
