Amazon UK put up a pre-order page and release date on July 3rd http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B007RX331G/?tag=imwan-21I haven't seen any updates otherwise as of now from the many Kinks sites I frequently visit......so this date might be not likely / over-optimistic.

A preorder that only states it's a box set and it's 60 odd pounds. This is getting ridiculous. I appreciate any kinks fans will be excited about this but I wish amazon could at least have the decency to tell us how many CDs and perhaps a summary of whats on the discs.

I am certain they are posting everything they know - what reason could they possibly have for withholding any information released by Sanctuary? Personally, I find their (Sanctuary's) policies far less acceptable, both with regard to release schedules and any other information that Kinks fans are eagerly waiting for.

I already pre-ordered from UK.
This seems like a bigger collectors item.....and considering the mono box set was unannounced limited edition and now gone, better safe than sorry.
Price dropped to £57.08

I have many BBC collections - Hendrix, Alex Harvey, Cream, Beatles, Kinks (don't they already have one?) - how can they possibly have six discs worth?
Any idea of the time period covered?

There was a previous 2 CD set. It was mentioned either in the booklet (or I saw it on another website) that there was alot not used. ...........but they had many appearances in the 60s through at least 1977.....including concerts (partially on disc 2 of the existing set. Can't find a full list......but there's another discussion http://missingepisodes.proboards.com/in ... hread=6039There will be plenty for 5 discs and a DVD!!

(Amazon US still lists July 3rd, but since it's an import......)
The UK price has also dropped to £36.57

I am ready to pull the trigger, but will not do so without seeing a tracklist. What a sham to not have the tracklist available before taking pre orders.

The UK price has also dropped to £36.57 And this is just the EU price. Exports outside the zone (e.g. to the USA) are charged just £30.48. I was going to pass on this, as I've never been a big fan of live material, but this is too good to pass up.

Over at Zappa.com - there are never any tracklists published until AFTER the release is shipped and the buyers start posting the details. This is my ONLY gripe with Gail...she is afraid that someone will boot the release or patch together something similar just based on the titles.

I just ordered this from Amazon UK, and my price came up as 30.48 British, instead of the 36.48 that it shows as the price. Needless to say, I'm happy.
