Does anyone remember a cartoon of the song "Rag Mop" with animated mops singing it? It is NOT the "Beanie & Cecil DJ The DJ" toon; I just tracked that one down after being told years ago it was what I was looking for.

I remember seeing this as a kid. What I remember was animated mops singing; likely vintage 40's or 50's, & likely racially stereotyped.

Does anyone have a clue what I'm looking for?

The only thing that comes to mind is the Muppet Show version, but that would date from the 70s:

Nope, this is definitely older, & fully animated. I also remember it as b&w, but that may have been our 60's television set rather than the toon. Weird that in 14 years on the net I have not been able to find a single reference of what I'm looking for, & I'm 99% certain I saw it on TV as a kid.

Have you ever seen the old Max Fleischer toons (early Betty Boop, etc)? I'll guarantee he was on very good drugs!

If you hadn't grown up on the opposite side of the country, I'd say we might have both seen it on a local kiddie show. It sounds like something Sandy Becker would have done.

Reason it came up today, is years ago someone in the usenet toon group told me they were sure I was talking about the Beanie & Cecil toon. Finally found that today & it is definitely not the one (though it is amusing).
