Man, they keep moving Flex Mentallo back... it was supposed to come out late last year... then February... then March... and now April.
Also, Invisibles Vol. 2 is out of print.

Although ... Marvel Boy was the only work of his I've read that I wanted more of when I got to the end of his run.

I bought Doom Patrol Vol. 1 and Invisibles Vol. 1 yesterday on a whim to see if I'd like to collect either trade series.
I read through 2/3 of the Invisibles one, completing the first arc collected in the trade and an issue into the next one... it's alright. I think that first arc depends on those ideas and concepts being mind-blowing but they were just kinda 'okay'. I might have been really into it when I was a teenager... I might be too old-balls for that one.
Well, I'm hoping I'll have better luck with Doom Patrol.

I bought the first Morrison Doom Patrol trade. The first issue is awesome, but I didn't like the rest and won't continue with the run.

Yeah, after Invisibles, I'm kinda scared I dropped $40 on comics I won't like at a store that offers no refunds.

IIRC, I thought the first issue of Invisibles was awesome, too - then didn't like the rest of the trade. I better stay away from Seven Soldiers...

Being mainly into the medium for the art and visual storytelling aspect, I've noticed that Morrison only ever really, really appeals to me when drawn by Frank Quitely... All Star Superman, JLA: Earth 2, X-Men: E is for Extinction, etc.
Maybe I'm just a Frank Quitely fan and Grant Morrison is merely a side-effect? The only Authority stories I really liked after Ellis left was when he was drawing...

He still can't *end* a story satisfactorily to save his life, never could but as far as concepts go, I think his love letter to the silver age with All Star Superman was his best effort.
