As the Brigader said,"Splendid fellow--all of them"(or something like that). And they are But still,we all have the one favorite out of any group.
And I know he's named The Doctor, not Doctor Who,but titling this poll "Favorite The Doctor" looks silly.Call it "Favorite Doctor" and people will ask where are the other doctors like Dr. Oz or Dr. Spock or Dr. Watson. And how do we know he's not really named Doctor Who...?
Anyway...

Hartnell--------great
Troughton----great
Pertwee-------great
T.Baker-------greatest of all
Davison------not quite great
C.Baker------not at all great
McCoy-------semi-great
McGann-----too briefly great
Eccleston---fantastic!
Tennant------brilliant!
Smith--------great
Capaldi-----going great

I was totally behind Tom Baker as the best Doctor. Now, as short as his time was, Christopher Eccleston is my favourite.

Matt Smith. I love him as the Doctor. Best interpretation and extrapolation of the character ever.

Yeah, that's me.
I'm the one who voted for Colin Baker.
Villagers, light your torches.
But, as he himself sais "I am the Doctor, whether you like it or not!"
He had me at "or not!".

It was a great line after the blandness of Davidson's run, where the producer actively prevented him from making the character funny (Davidson has a great dry, sarcastic sense of humor in the audio stories). It's simply a shame almost every element of the Sixth Doctor's character was mismanaged from the jump. A horrible costume, a personality that was far too abrasive, his debut at the end of a season where the budget had run dry, and generally poor writing.

He's really come on in the audio adventures, where his Doctor is probably the most consistently enjoyable of the lot (although Tom Baker might take that crown now that he's finally in the house). Davidson is a bit too hemmed in by Continuity, so he's kind of trapped by his Companions (his Peri adventures were his best, until the recent return of Tegan), McCoy gets saddled with the master manipulator tales a bit too often, while McGann was marred by his brief period as THE Doctor prior to the TV show returning, in which we got buried under a bunch of stories depending on Gallifrayian politics and endless nattering on about the Web Of Time.

I have to go with Tom Baker, but his successor may be the most UNDERRATED Doctor. (I'm assuming that Amy--for obvious reasons--- WANTS us to vote for Tom Baker.)

One of the things I remember about Davidson's run is when Aldric died and Nissa(??) asked the Doctor why he couldn't alter history to save his life. Davidson turned to her and told her to NEVER ask him that again. It's clear he wanted to, but also knew why he must not.

Baker is the best. I really liked Eccleston and Tennant as well... This new guy Smith I find to be pretty weak, I don't imagine watching again until they get a better actor.

Smith is my favorite Doctor. He's actually made me like Tennant and Eccleston less, somehow. The only early Doctors I've seen to any great extent are Hartnell and Pertwee.

Tom Baker. I was most familiar with 2-5 growing up and he simple seemed to be having the most fun with the role.

David Warner... the only Doctor bad-ass enough to have the Brig as his Companion. Oddly enough, he faced off against David Tennant as the new asshole Brig.

Image

He was an alternate 3rd Doctor in a couple of the Doctor Who Unbound releases.

Colin must be furious to know you don't have to add "Tom" to the first sentence to know whom you are talking about.

We need an image from Robot Chicken with Tom Baker on first base.
