I've been wanting a Lucigraph for 20 years and I cannot find one.

Is Exacto Knife considered to be on it? I just bought one of those a week ago!

I can't tell -- it's sort of a part of some entries.

A lot of the stuff is still in use, but have been replaced by the most part with digital.

You can still by an Ames lettering guide... just not sure how many letterers are still using them.

So I guess they're saying that by and large, print does not involve detailed cutting of stencils anymore.

But Exacto is still the bees knees if you have an art project that has nothing to do with printing or mass production.

You can still find adhesive letters as well, but nobody is using them to create print ads.

Right. The "art supplies" tag made me think of art in its purest sense, not printing.

If they want to take away my X-Acto knives, they'll have to pry it from my cold, dead fingers.

Hear, hear. But be careful not to cut your fingers.

I had one of those negative cleaning brushes with the radioactive Polonium source in it. The radiation from the Polonium ionized the air by the bristles to dissipate static charges that caused the dust to cling to the negatives.

I wonder where it is now?

Bro would have been a great writer for Star Trek Voyager.

You mean your positronic photon projector isn't equipped to emit an EM band frequency that could create a temporal shadow, so as to stabilize the dilithium matrix and save the emitter array?

I love art supplies and still use them a lot.

It is a relief not to have to use Letraset anymore, tho.

I bet everyone has a knife story.

Mine involved putting an Exacto into my leg. All the way to the handle. Got a lovely set of suture strips and a tetanus shot. Put a hole in one of my favorite skirts.

I also had a run in with a utility knife, but that was when I was working retail and opening boxes.

I don't have an actual knife story, but I do have a potato peeler story.
