Yikes! I have the complete original Dark Shadows on dvd. Probably around 40 some volumes, 4 discs per box. This new set would definitely have been cheaper. The sets I have begin when Jonathan Frid entered the series as Barnabas Collins. Later they released the early, pre-Barnabas years, and these are very good. I had such a crush on Alexandra Moltke and Kathryn Lee Scott many moons ago.
I'm hoping with the new Dark Shadows movie coming out this year that they will finally get around to issuing "House of Dark Shadows" on dvd as well as a fully restored "Night of Dark Shadows".

Dear God. 131 discs, $600................. I hope I have time to watch 131 discs of something this year!
