Mentioned at the end of this article about the second Captain America movie:

Quote:
'Captain America 2' to start shooting this year

Captain America 2 is due to start shooting this year, it has been revealed.

In a busy year for Marvel Studios, Iron Man 3's start date has also been brought forward, before the release of The Avengers, which will see all of the stable of superheroes unite. Additionally, a solo outing for Nick Fury is in the works, according to ComicBook.com.

Neal McDonough, who plays Dum Dum Dugan, said: "They're planning Captain America 2 for the end of this year, because Marvel does one film at a time. So they’re going to do Thor 2 and as soon as [that] has wrapped, they'll do Captain America.”

He also revealed that Fury, the super-spy portrayed in the current series of films by Samuel L Jackson, will be getting his own movie. "Hopefully right after that, we’ll jump into Nick Fury, because that’s the one I'm looking forward to more than anything."

It'd be cool if they went all Steranko with it, with the flying suits and high-tech blasters. Go with either Von Strucker and Hydra or Scorpio as the villain.

I'll be disappointed if they don't go in this direction.

Just go straight to Captain America.

Oh, we'll, I liked it. But when your said "Marvel movies" my brain now interprets it as "Marver Studios movies" I.e. those that are now part of a single movie universe with its own continuity.

Beyond those, First Class was pretty good.

Agreed. Captain America or First Class. The rest are skippable.

Ahhh.....so the new batch of stuff (Thor, Iron-Man, Cap) is distinct from the other stuff that came before it?

Does this mean that the reboot of Spider-Man will be part of the *ahem* 'New Universe'?

Does it also mean that the FF movies never happened? 'Coz, I'd really like to think they didn't. :)

The Marvel movie properties are "fractured" between several movie studios.

Marvel Studios has Thor, Cap, Iron Man, Hulk, the Avengers.

Fox has X-Men and Fantastic Four. I don't know if they will be releasing FF back to Marvel, but they are keeping the X Men for sure.

Sony has Spider Man, another franchise you can bet they won't let go anytime soon.

In the scenario you describe, Disney is like Sauron and the other studios are the Nazghul. ;)

Sony is like Gollum. They want to keep Spider-Man, but it wants to return to its master.

So Spidey has to be cast into the pit of Carkoon, on fire, or the world can't be saved?

I've always said Spider-Man is the source of all evil. Created by the Dark Lord Ditko.

I believe Fox is working on an FF reboot as well as a Daredevil reboot.

We will be seeing a lot of Marvel movies getting made in the coming years now that Disney owns Marvel. People do not want to give up their Marvel movie franchises.

Marvel should do a Nu52 style reboot, and have three distinct universes that are divided up to match the way the movie properties are.

I would read the hell out of a Marvel Universe that only had the X-Men, FF and Daredevil.
