Twist ending -- it turns out it was the Earth the whole time.

I was just wondering if M. Night had completely self destructed yet.

I loved "Unbreakable," really liked "The Sixth Sense" and "Signs," and moderately enjoyed "The Village" and "Lady in the Water." However, "The Happening" is one of the worst movies I've ever seen, and I never saw "Last Airbender" or "Devil." The fact that "After Earth" stars Will Smith gives me some hope, though.

Devil was pretty good, actually.

Thank God I read the producer's name carefully, otherwise I might have been pushed towards watching this dreck.

This sounds like an interesting premise, but for some reason that I can't explain, I don't like Will Smith and he's the deal breaker for me.

I hate to be a spoiler, but this movie's ending will be that this visit to post-apocalyptic Earth is actually the beginning of a new era, Adam and Eve, that turns our to be our version of Earth (BSG style).

Search your heart. You know it to be the truth.

Did you just spoil me the end of BSG?

Because if so, I hate you.

Nice to see that Will Smith finally read that Kamandi proposal that I sent him.

BSG = biscuits sopping gravy. Meaning, the most representative thing about our earth that we would want future generations to think of as our singular achievement. Gravy and biscuits.

A somewhat implausible explanation. But I have no reason to doubt your word.

I think a young boy and his father will have a tough time repopulating the Earth.

The premise has me curious but a lot will depend on what the "abandoned Earth" is like. If it's a wild, crazy world with strange new beasts and such, I'll be pumped. If it's a boring Road Warrior style desert, meh.

I think a young boy and his father will have a tough time carrying a movie.

Methinks someone with lady-parts will appear in the movie.

I think that's my first time ever using the word "methinks." It feels kind of icky.

Maybe a female ape.
