That is super cool. I was very pleased to see at the end that he did in fact have a way of saving the image for posterity.

We used to do something like that in cub scouts. It wasn't nearly as pretty or carefully laid out, but it was paint in water (9 x 11 inch cake pans with an inch of water, IIRC, where we put in many colored paints randomly dripped in and then swirled about to make erratic designs), then we laid paper on the water to take up the paint and hung them up to dry.

This guy made more of a purposeful design, and it had an interesting background that I didn't appreciate or really know about until I saw the end product. I was surprised he seemed to drag the paper over the edge of the container. We peeled them up and away, IIRC.

Anyway, I knew he'd put paper on it to make it permanent long before he got to the end, but I was still impressed at the background, the container edge, and the overall more purposeful image he ended up with doing that. I wonder if he gets good money doing this. Considering it took less than 10 minutes, they probably aren't that valuable - but they are soooooo interesting to look at.
